Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, like an oasis of tranquility and comfort, the Schwarzenbruch plateau stretches high above the Wolf River Valley. A narrow, steep street curves its way from the valley, along the Dohlenbach stream and through the woods, all the way up to the legendary plateau which is shrouded in mystery and steeped in history and lies at the foot of the 837m-high Gütschkopf Mountain. The majestic mountain peaks Brandenkopf and Staufenkopf rise to greet the Gütschkopf.

The view of the countryside is far-reaching, across the heights of the Black Forest. It seems as if time has stood still here. Those who climb up to the plateau are welcomed to the Schwarzenbruch by an artistically hewn sandstone.
